Kally Ho

Kally is an associate at Savards LLP. She practices criminal and regulatory law and represents clients at all levels of court. Kally believes people are not always treated equally in the justice system. She advocates zealously and empathically to ensure her client’s voices are heard and understood.

Kally has experience defending against a wide variety of criminal and regulatory offences, including but not limited to: assaults, breaches of trust, drug offences, homicides, sexual crimes, and white-collar crimes. She also has experience conducting high-profile and complex jury trials. Kally is sensitive to the potential civil, family law, and immigration consequences a person can face when charged with a crime, and is dedicated to minimizing these ramifications for her clients while still working towards the best possible outcome in the criminal case.

Kally obtained her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and completed her articles with a well-respected criminal defence firm in downtown Toronto. At Osgoode, she was selected to take part in its Criminal Law Intensive program and worked as a research assistant. While articling, Kally worked on a variety of cases ranging from regulatory and professional disciplinary matters to criminal extraditions and serious criminal offences.

Kally volunteers with refugee support organizations in Toronto where she helps refugee applicants prepare for Admissibility Hearings before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. She is heavily involved in the Criminal Lawyers’ Association, as a member on the Women in Criminal Law Committee and the Second Chair Roster of the Litigation Commitee. She is a member of the Advocates’ Society, the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers Ontario, the Toronto Lawyers’ Association, and the Women in Canadian Criminal Defence organization.

Kally provides legal services in English and Cantonese.
